  • PAOK begin this year’s obligations in the Greek Cup at Aigaleo. The Double-headed Eagle will face the Athens club for the fourth time in their stadium in the competition, and in their three previous meetings they did not manage to get a victory.
  • On August 20, 1989, in the first round of the competition, which took place via a group stage format, PAOK Anagennenisis Giannitsa 5-0 on the first matchday thanks to two goals from Small, two from Skartados and one from Mitsibona. A week later (27/8) they faced Aigaleo in Athens and drew 1-1 (Pistolis 70′ – Small 35′) and the third match ended in a draw (0-0) with Kozani at the Toumba Stadium.
  • The next meeting between the two teams came in the 2003-04 season, when they drew 1-1 (8′ Agritis – 80′ Salpingidis). In the second leg that took place a month and a half later, PAOK prevailed 1-0 courtesy of Salpingidis‘ goal (15’) and advanced to the next round.
  • The last time Aigaleo faced PAOK in their stadium in the Greek Cup was on January 12, 2003, when the Athens team prevailed 2-0 (76′ Makris, 84′ Barkoglou). The first match between the two teams – December 22, 2003 – ended in a goalless draw and so Aigaleo progressed.
  • In total, in three matches Aigaleo has one win and there are also two draws. Prior to these meetings, there were two more in the Greek Cup, where PAOK qualified in single-leg knockout games played at the Toumba Stadium.
