PAOK started the match against Viktoria Plzen in the worst possible way and found themselves two goals down in the first half. In the second half, however, the team changed the face of the game, Razvan Lucescu offered some solutions with changes in personnel from the bench, and in the end the Double-headed Eagle managed to come back from the brink and get a point.

One of the players who came off the bench and changed the shape of the game was Kiril Despodov . The Bulgarian winger was full of running, proved a constant threat to the opposition defense, and he was the man who provided the excellent assist for Tissoudali to reduce the deficit to 2-1, while causing the Czechs plenty of problems with his execution from set-piece plays.
