The squad returned to training after Monday’s rest day and began their preparation for the battle with the Czechs at the Toumba Stadium.

The players who were in the starrting lineup of the derby followed a recovery and rehabilitation program out on the pitch, in the swimming pool and in the gym. The rest of the group worked on some tactical aspects through various exercises, while at the end of the session the players contested a friendly played out on half a pitch.

Baba has some discomfort in his groin and his condition will be monitored daily. Antonis Tsiftsis did an individual training session as he continues to work his way back to fitness.

On Wednesday (23.10) PAOK will train at 17:00 in Nea Mesimvria, with the program open for media representatives for the first 15 minutes. PAOK’s press conference will be held earlier at 12:00 at the Toumba Stadium. Razvan Lucescu will be joined by Brandon Thomas who will represent the players.

Viktoria Plzeň will train at 19:00 at the Toumba, with the program again open for the first 15 minutes to media representatives, while at 18:00 the Czechs’ will hold their press conference.
