Giannakis’s party before his trip to America
Shortly before leaving for America for his major surgery, Giannakis visited the team in Nea Mesimvria, where the players welcomed him with a birthday surprise.
The PAOK players presented him with a cross to accompany him on his journey, while Razvan Lucescu presented him with some of the clothes he wore in last season’s matches: his jacket, gloves and his signature beanie.
The atmosphere was full of joy as well as emotion, with Giannakis leaving for this important journey with the best wishes of the team.
