The new-look PAOK B
New season, largely a new squad and technical team, but the same, fixed goal and identical expectations for the training of the PAOK Academy boys, who are preparing for senior men’s football. The season that will start in the autumn of 2024 is the fourth for the second string, with PAOK and AEK being the only two that continue in the Super League 2 championship. PAOK B has a substantially renewed roster – a logical continuation of the youngster who continue to mature and … moving up – since several of the “bigger ones” left to take the next step, either in Greece or abroad.
The new coaching duo will be Apostolis Papavasiliou and Dimitris Taxidis, fitness caoch Mert Isbilir, goalkeeper coach Dimitris Kryonas, rehabilitation coach Dimitris Petrakis, analyst Yiannis Vlachos, team manager Dimitris Saraideris, doctor Argyris Karavelis, physiotherapists Stavros Terzanidis and Dimitris Pagotos, minders Vassilis Papadopoulos and Iakovos Galinos. Giorgos Kostikos is the technical manager of the training process and Yiannis Savvidis is the team’s technical director.
The squad started preparing on July 22nd at the Souroti facilities and left for Ptolemaida on August 19th for the second and main stage of their pre-season preparation, which will last until August 30th. The Super League 2 season is expected to begin on September 22.
PAOK B have already played a series of friendly matches and will obviously continue in this way until the start of the league. They have already played against PAOK Kristonis (won 2-1), with Kavala (0-0), Volos (lost 1-0), AEL (won 4-1) and they are expected to play against Apollon Kalamarias (29.08 ), Pierikos (05.09), Thermaikos Thermis (07.09) and Ethnikos Keramidos (14.09).
For the 2024-25, PAOK’s second string group is made up of footballers born in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, but also 2007 (our «Benjamin» Anestis Mythou). Clearly there are also the «older» and more experienced players, such as Kanis, Ricardo, and Bradonijc.
