Jonathan «JoGo» Gomez was born on September 1, 2003 in Dallas, Texas, with roots from Mexico. He began his career at the age of 12 in the Dallas academies, before moving to the Louisville City academy. He made his professional debut with Louisville City in 2020, where in two seasons he made 39 appearances, scoring two goals and dishing out 10 assists.

In January 2022, Gómez became a resident of Spain on behalf of Real Sociedad. The young left-back continued to impress in the Segunda Division with Sociedad, making 43 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

At international level, Gomez has represented both the United States and Mexico national youth teams. He has also featured in one match for Mexico’s senior side against Guatemala, and then recently represented the US men’s national team, making two appearances in friendlies against Bosnia and Serbia.

The young defender is ready to start a new chapter of his career in Thessaloniki, wearing the black and white jersey and offering his services to the Double-headed Eagle.
