Return to Nea Mesimvria
PAOK returned to Nea Mesimvria and the squad is ramping up their preparations for competitive action. After the main stage of pre-season summer preparation in the Netherlands was completed, the players took a much-needed break to rejuvenate body, mind and spirit. Now, they turn their attention to the first competitive match of the new season against Borac Banja Luka, which will take place on Wednesday (24.07) at 20:30 at the Toumba Stadium.
The training program in Nea Mesimvria started with a warm-up and a few rounds of rondo. Then came work on tactics. The players were divided into two groups and worked alternately on attacking tactics and finishing.
At the end, a friendly tournament was held. Jonny Otto continued with an individual program due to the discomfort he had during pre-season. His condition is improving, and he is getting ready to resume full training. Andre Vieirinha, who took a knock on his knee in the last friendly, underwent some tests which came back clean. He will continue with some physio treatment and an individual program for a few more days so that the discomfort goes away. PAOK will train on Friday (19.07) at 18:45 in Nea Mesimvria.
