Curtain falls on friendlies with final two matches

The technical staff split the players between the two matches in the final friendlies of the main stage of the pre-season preparations in the Netherlands.

PAOK were defeated 2-1 by Union Saint-Giloise and Vitesse in the last two pre-season games.

Razvan Lucescu had the chance to watch two sets of his players play for 90 minutes in order to draw his final conclusions before the start of the team’s official UEFA Champions League qualifying duties.

Against the Belgians, PAOK were excellent for one half, they took the lead with a well-taken penalty by Schwab , which was won by Brandon , while they were not particularly threatened, having other opportunities to score more goals.

In the second half, the Belgian coach made several changes, as a result of which the fresh legs gave energy to Union, who managed to turn the game around.

In the second game, PAOK started well, completely dominated the pitch, created several chances, got a goal through Samatta , hit the crossbar via Konstantelias , while they also missed some other good chances in the first half.

In the second half the Double-headed Eagle paid for some defensive lapses and found themselves behind, tried to respond, but Samatta hit the crossbar, and the 2-1 scoreline did not change until the final whistle.
