First friendly ends in victory over AEK Larnaca
PAOK defeated AEK Larnaca 2-1 in their first friendly of the pre-season on Dutch soil, with Razvan Lucescu seeing his players in competitive action for the first time, and using two different staerting XI’s in each half.
Despite the burden of the demanding training sessions, both of PAOK’s lineups showed enthusiasm, produced good play on the pitch from time to time, and provided the technical staff with plenty of material to study.
In the first half, PAOK scored twice, with Schwab scoring the first after a cross from Despodov, and also creating the second for Murg .
The Cypriots could only manage to get one goal back in the second, with Lucescu’s men having also missing further chances to extend the winning margin.
Among the highlights of the match were the debuts of Tsiftsis and Kamara, as well as the youngster Goumas.
