ΜVΡ of the Season – The «Platon Foropoulos» Award
A dream season has come to an end. A season in which PAOK, against all odds, managed to be crowned champions, played yet again in the quarter-finals of a major European competition, and also were within a few seconds from reaching the final of the Greek Cup. The weapon used by Razvan Lucescu’s team was of course teamwork, but now the time has come to find… the one who stood out the most. Who was the team’s top performer? Let’s choose the MVP of the 2023-24 season.
A total of 15 players are in the running for the title of the season MVP. Paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App open their polls and call on you to cast your vote for the player who will receive the «Platon Foropoulos» Award for the 2023-24 season. Who will IT BE?
In the 2013-14 season it was Lino, who won the inaugural prize and proved to everyone that age has absolutely no importance. The second, Ergus Kace, was an award that somewhat saved a bad season for the team. The third was Giorgos Tzavellas. Then Panagiotis Glykos, who was one of the top players and contributed the most to the team returning to winning trophies, by lifting the Greek Cup in 2016-17.
Then The Leader took the reins! The 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons belonged to Andre Vieirinha , who returned to the team and led it to two years of absolute dominance in Greek football. In the 2019-20 season, Josip Misic had an excellent year and came first, while in the following season Christos Tzolis played for the first time at a professional level and was the top man according to your opinion. In the 2021-22 season, Jasmin Kurtic arrived from Italy with no… brakes and emerged as the team’s top scorer from midfield, and naturally came first in the public vote, while last year – in his first season – Ioannis Konstantelias turned the spotlight on himself and got the award for the 2022-23 season.
