Konstantelias’ mazy run
Ioannis Konstantelias won the PAOK TV Play of the Month for May to add another individual award to his collection.
Mr. Breeze’s amazing dribble in the match against Aris at the «Kleanthis Vikelidis» collected 53.62% of the public’s votes, while he could have had a much bigger difference versus the other contenders, but that is because Dominik Kotarski’s incredible save made him a very strong candidate in last game at the Toumba against Panathinaikos. Despite this, the Double-headed Eagle’s supporters had no difficulty in deciding.
Baba passed to Konstantelias and with his back to Odubajo, he controlled the ball with his heel, changed direction in a flash, and then went on a forward run. Odubajo was left trailing in his wake, Suleimanov tried to stop him with a heavy challenge but the Greek winger stayed on his feet, before offloading the ball to Brandon, who then provided the assist for Taison to score the winning goal and make it 2-1.
Naturally then, Konstantelias received another individual award for May’s PAOK TV Play Of The Month.
Second place went to Kotarski’s save against Panathinaikos with 21.05%, and third place was Andrija Zivkovic’s exceptional assist against Aris with 11.18%.
