One save, an assist, and a piece of individual brilliance. Three great footballing moments are in the running for the PAOK TV Play Of the Month of May. Time for you to cast your votes to decide the winner.
The first candidate, with three nominations, is Andrija Živković. The Serbian winger managed to distribute three assists, one better than the other. In the game against Olympiacos, he made an incredible assist for Taison with an inverted scissor-kick, then in the game against Panathinaikos he sent Vieirinha through behind the Greens‘ defense with a defence-splitting pass, while in the «final» against Aris he stole possesion in central midfield, surged forward, and then picked out Brandon perfectly to set him up for the opening goal.
The next contender is Dominic Kotarski. In the game against Panathinaikos, he made another outrageous save. Sporar was through one-on-one, but the Double-headed Eagle’s Mr.Fantastic managed to pary the ball for a corner with his left foot, sending it over the crossbar and somehow defying the laws of physics.
Finally, PAOK’s young wizard is also in the mix. Ioannis Konstantelias procued another unfathomable play in the game against Aris at the «Kleanthis Vikelidis». Baba passed to Konstantelia, who with Odubajo breathing down his neck, received the ball with his heel, changed direction in a flash and went on a forward run. Odubajo lost him, Suleimanov tried to stop him with that was surely going to be a foul, but the Greek winger stayed upright, passed to Brandon, who then assisted Taison for 2-1.
