Baba wins Fans’ Man of the Match award

Baba Rahman came out on top in the vote for the Fans’ Man of the Match for the 2023-24 Betsson Greek Cup semi-final, second-leg contest against Panathinaikos at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium.

25.02.2024

PAOK dominated for 120 minutes at the «Apostolos Nikolaidis», overturned the 1-0 loss from the first leg, and held what would have been a well-deserved qualification to the final in their hands, but luck was not on their side.

Baba was one of the main protagonists for the Double-headed Eagle. The Ghanaian put in a stunning performance for 116′ minutes, until he was forced to leave the pitch after a sickening collision with Vagiannidis.

Baba did it all on the field. He put in countless kilometers, fought and won every battle he took part in all night, while he was pivotal in both defence and attack.

In the Fans’ Man of the Match poll, he collected 35.45% of the votes to claim the individual award.

In second place was Tomas Kedziora with 15.87%. The Polish defender made it 2-0 to the visitors with a header and was also excellent in his defensive dutires, while Suahlio Meite completed the podium with another impressive performance in midfield.
