The derbies continue
PAOK were defeated in the first leg of the semi-final tie against Panathinaikos in the Betsson Greek Cup, with everything still wide open ahead of the second match at the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” in Athens. But throughts of the cup are temporarily put aside, as the Double-headed Eagle are preparing for yet another derby in the 2023-24 Stoiximan Super League, this time against Olympiacos at the Toumba.
The work for Olympiacos started on Thursday afternoon (15.02) in Nea Mesimvria. The players who were in the starting XI against Panathinaikos followed a recovery and rehabilitation program on the pitch, the swimming pool and in the gym. The rest of the group worked on the pitch with a program that included warm-ups, possession games, a tactical exercise and a half-pitch friendly.
Ioannis Konstantelias returned to full training and did most of the program as normal, with the club’s injury list now empty.
On Friday (16.02) PAOK will train at 17:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
