A statement from PAOK
Panathinaikos, by sending an extra-judicial letter to our coach, has proceeded with an unprecedented comic move, thinking that this will stop the truth from being told and that is reflected in the numbers, about the penalties that each team has won and that have been awarded against them both this season and past seasons.
Our coach Razvan Locescu has our full acceptance, support, and appreciation regarding any legal actions taken against him by Panathinaikos and assure that such actions are against PAOK and not him personally.
PAOK will always continue to work for transparency and honesty, and will protect everyone’s rights.
Our coach’s statements never discredited any Panathinaikos team, but the referees who protected the club, according to the coach’s judgment, and it goes without saying that our coach’s statements are identical to our own views as the club, PAOK.
We wonder if after all there is a system of corruption in Greek football, as Panathinaikos complains, even in the same letter, which calls on a man to withdraw his protests about a system of corruption.
In any case, and in view of the four games between the two teams until the end of the season, to be played in front of full stadiums and that are crucial for the domestic titles, we hope that calm will prevail and that our opinions will not be bitterly justified.
