The visitors opened the scoring very early, in the second minute, with Gitersos following an assist from Avrampos. They doubled the advantage in the 18th minute, again with Gitersos on target, after Deligiannis’ pass. In the 68th minute, Koupenos won a penalty, which was converted by Adam to make it 3-0, and in the 70th minute, Volos reduced the deficit to 3-1. However, PAOK responded in the 80th minute thanks to Kalaitsidis scoring the fourth goal, taking advantage of Papageorgiou’s assist, and Polykratis added the fifth and final goal in the 89’th minute with a fine individual effort.
