Panserraikos vs. PAOK: Facts & Figures

- Panserraikos and PAOK face off in the quarter-final phase of the Greek Cup with the Double-headed Eagle having played just two matches in this year’s competition, wihich brought two wins against Volos – 1-0 at the Toumba and 2-0 in Magnisia.
- Stefan Schwab scored in both of those matches, while the other goal came from Ioannis Konstantelias. Last season, Brandon Thomas had scored five goals in the run to the final of the competition, and two goals had come from Nelson Oliveira, while there were six more PAOK players on target.
- PAOK and Panserraikos have faced each other only three times in the Greek Cup and all of them were single knockout matches. This is their fourth match and the first time that they meet in the quarter-finals, since the previous three teis were twice in the «Round of 16» and once in hte «Round of 32».
- PAOK, in the first of their three matches in the Greek Cup, were eliminated by Panserraikos. On January 13, 1999, in the last 16 of the competition, the Double-headed Eagle were defeated by a goal from Kostas Epirotis in the 84th minute.
- Their next meeting was on November 7, 2006 in Serres, where PAOK won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Nikos Arambatzis and claimed qualification to the last 16.
- Their last previous meeting in the Greek Cup was on January 20, 2010, with PAOK winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Lino and Papazoglou, qualifying for the last eight. Among the PAOK players who played in that match was the current coach of Panseraikos, Pablo Garcia. He had entered the match as a substitute in the 79th minute with the score already 2-0 in favor of PAOK.
