PAOK B suffer defeat by AEK B [with pictures]
Despite producing a positive and dynamic display, PAOK B suffered their second consecutive defeat in 2024, losing 1-0 to AEK B in Spata. The next game for the Double-headed Eagle is at home against Triglia on Mqatchday 17.
The match was balanced during the first 45 minutes, without any clear-cut scoring chances. PAOK B threatened via Spyrakos in the sixth minute and through Tsopouroglou in the 30th minute, but it was AEK B who took the lead in the 39th minute thanks to Katsikas’ goal.
As required, PAOK B entered the second half of the match in much more aggressive mood. After all, they had to chase an equaliser, in which they came very close to getting in the 55th minute with Spyrakos‘ poweerful shot that hit the crossbar. The visitors continued to press, however, but despite being in the vicinity of AEK B’s goal on several ocassions, they failed to find a breakthrough that would have seen them level the mtach and in the end left Spata without getting a point.
