A solitary goal from Darelas in the 72nd minute was enough for PAOK B to leave Polykastro with victory as they defeated Apollon Pontou 1-0 on Matchday 14 of Super League 2. In what was the last match of 2023 for the Double-headed Eagle’s second string, the visitors collected three points despite having many youngsters involved to end the year on a high note.

PAOK B was trying to press high, however, it was not easy to get into shooting positions against a determined home defence, except from a shot by Spyrakos in the 36th minute. There second half was a different kettle of fish. PAOK B were more lively and threatening in a match that had plenty of dynamism and some continued tension. And after almost scoring via both Goumas and Spyrakos, the visitors finally found a breakthrough in the 72nd minute with Darela the player on target. He took advantage of Scznaucner’s pass to apply the finish. The goal was followed by a huge missed opportunity by Gitersos, but it did not matter as PAOK B got the three points which moved them up to sixth place in the standings.
