Taison’s onslaught
One phase in the game against Panathinaikos at the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” won two awards in the month of October. The Regency Casino Best Goal with A. Zivkovic’s strike as the winner, and now the Play of the Month with Taison’s assist for Zile’s wondergoal.
The phase started with Baba’s pass to the Brazilian, who with one feint without the ball sent two Panathinaikos players to the shops, and he then started an attack from the center of the field. Just before he stepped into the penalty area, he looked up and saw his unmarked Serbian teammate and offloaded a pass perfectly between the legs of Juankar, providing the assist for Zile to score and make it 2-1 to PAOK.
And with a percentage of 56.23%, Taison’s assist was named the PAOK TV Play of the Month for October, beating off the competition of Dominik Kotarski’s incredible save against Eintracht and Kiril Despodov’s excellent assist against Atromitos.
