A guide for supporters heading to Aberdeen

Everything Double-headed Eagle fans need to know for the trip to Scotland for the game against Aberdeen.

26.10.2023

Our fans’ meeting point is Castlegate, which is located within the city of Aberdeen.

PAOK fans should gather at 17:00 so that at 18:30 they can leave for the stadium on foot, escorted by the police.

The possession of alcoholic beverages, fireworks, flares, smoke bombs, and firecrackers is prohibited. Security searches will be particularly strict and penalties and fines will be imposed on violators, as well as a ban on entering the stadium.

We ask our fans to follow the information we received from the Scottish authorities, in order not to face the slightest problem and to be able to support our team in yet another European trip without any issues, but also in what follows in the future, as we are under strict supervision by UEFA and there is a risk of punishment in future games.

Detailed instructions:

PAOK fans can approach the stadium on foot via Park Road and enter from South Walkwat. There will be a ticket check and a breathalyzer test in the first block and in the second there will be a physical check, as well as checks on bags and banners. All bags are checked. If you don’t need your bags, don’t take them to the stadium with you. Backpacks or smaller bags are allowed.

Buses carrying PAOK fans can drop off passengers in the city and park at the stadium two hours before kick-off. Entry is not permitted from the South Walkway. Coaches should enter the course from Golf Road and from there they will be directed to the Golf Road Car Park. If buses arrive at the stadium full, they should arrive one hour before kikc-off, when the stadium turnstiles open. BUSES ARE REQUESTED NOT TO LEAVE FANS AROUND THE STADIUM EARLIER THAN ONE HOUR BEFORE KICK-OFF.

PAOK fans will be located in sections P, Q and R, in the eastern part of the north stand. These sections have been separated and will have a net in front for security reasons.

The turnstiles of the stadium will open one hour before kick-off of the match and perhaps slightly earlier if there is crowding.

There will be two food outlets in the visitors’ stand, from the time the doors open until the PAOK fans leave.

Alcohol consumption is prohibited in the stadium. Alcohol is not sold and/or consumed inside the stadium.

Fireworks, flares, horns, flares, sharp and dangerous objects, laser appliances, glass objects, cans, tubes and obviously knives, as well as anything that may cause physical harm are forbidden. There is a strict law in Scotland on any fireworks. The use and possession of pyrotechnic material in a public place or at specific events is considered aggressive behavior.

Entering or attempting to enter the stadium with objects that may contain liquids and be thrown onto the field that may cause bodily harm, as well as entering or attempting to enter the stadium under the influence of alcohol are criminal offences.

Fans are kindly requested not to attempt to get onto the pitch unless they are given a directive from the security of the stadium or the police. Any attempt to do so can lead to removal from the stadium and arrest.

Smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes is prohibited.

The costs of any damages to stadium seating, toilets or any other installations at the stadium, will be borne by our team.

Banners and large flags are prohibited, unless there is a special agreement with the home team. Banners and flags should meet the conditions for fire safety measures. The banners should not cover billboards or endanger people working on the pitch. The size and content of the banners will be judged by the home team’s security staff.

In order to enter the ground with any drum or musical instrument, fans must have a license from the home team.

Fans should know that security at the stadium is a matter of all of us. If you see any abusive behavior, please refer to it to the security staff at the stadium or to a member of the PAOK staff.
