24.09.2023

According to the initial decisions made by the league organisers, in the new Super League 2 championship, two teams will be promoted to Super League 1 and nine teams will be relegated to the third division, so that in the 2024-25 season the league will take place with 20 teams.

The new PAOK B

PAOK B is a special case. More than anything, it represents a big bet, «the showcase of the academy», as stated by coach Alexandros Alexiadis, or if you like, the transitional stage from development football to men’s senior football. So, in addition to the stable squad, that is, the players who have been involved from the first day of the pre-season program, it is obvious that there will be some ups and downs during the season. Some younger players will get games for the Under-19s, as is already the case with some, while others will come down from the first team, maybe even younger ones will be promoted along the way. The goal is continuous development. The club’s educational process.

PAOK B started the pre-season program on August 7th in Souroti, then went to Volakas in Drama (there they played its first friendly against PAOK Kristonis, which they won 5-1) and, returning to base, played four more friendly games. They went to Kavala (1-1) – where unfortunately Konstantinos Balomenos was injured – won 3-0 against Ethnikos Keramidios, 1-0 against Epanomi, and finally lost 4-2 against Kabaniakos.

Regarding the new faces, Fotis Pantekidis returned to PAOK (a child who grew up in the PAOK Academy), after training with the frst team, Hisham Kanis and Yiannis Manoliudis from his loan at Veria also came to PAOK B, while Marios Sinanaj, Theodoros Kalogiros, Angelos Zilos, Zisis Tsikos, Viktor Rumiantsev (2004), who had some contact with PAOK B last year, are with the second string now. As for the youngest members of the squad, there’s Konstantinos Goumas, born in 2005, while it’s also worth noting that Dimitris Kottas and Minas Vasiliadis (already in the PAOK B setup from last year) are also from the same generation. The smallest of all, is Maximilian Scznauczner, born in 2006.

PAOK B in the 2023-24 season are made up of the following players:

Goalkeepers: Konstantinos Balomenos, Dimitris Monastirlis, Alexandros Tsioptsis, Alexandros Lypiridis

Defenders: Panagiotis Panagiotou, Fotis Pantekidis, Lefteris Tasiouras, Dimitris Kottas, Vassilis Kitsakis, Ermis Selimai, Marios Sinanai, Angelos Zilos, Yiannis Manolioudis

Midfielders: Vassilis Grosdis, Kyriakos Giaxis, Nika Ninoua, Dimitris Tsopouroglou, Argyris Darelas, Victor Rumiantsev, Zisis Tsikos, Theodoros Kalogiros, Konstantinos Goumas, Maximilian Scznauczner

Forwards: Dimitris Panidis, Vassilis Gordeziani, Lampros Smyrlis, Hisham Kanis, Nikolaos Spyrakos, George Koulouris, Minas Vassiliadis

The technical team:

Coach: Alexandros Alexiadis

Assistant coach: Athanasios Terzis

Fitness coach: Mert Isbilir

Goalkeeper coach: Dimitris Kryonas

Rehabilitation trainer: Dimitris Petrakis

Video analyst: Konstantinos Kavakis

Team Leader: Konstantinos Iosifidis
