Under-16s set for two tough contests

The Under-16s will participate in two competitions this year. In the MFCA Cup and in the MFCA League. Things start with the cup and with the game against AOK Agios Athanasios on Sunday 10.09 at 11:00. The league will start on 17.09 with a premiere against Macedonikos Gefyras.
PAOK has been drawn in Group A, which consists of: Asteras Ampelokipon, AOK Ag. Athanasiou, PO Xirokrinis, AE Ampelokipon, AMS Nikopoli, Ethnikos Malgaron, Ethnikos Meteoron, Thermaikos Thessaloniki, Triambos Partheniou, Campania Amateurs, Macedonian Amateurs, Omonia Sindou, and Makedonikos Gefyras.
The Under-16s of 2023-24 are those players born in 2008, and since it is an amateur league, professionals do not have the right to participate in it. This team is last year’s Under-15 champions in the Super League championship and they now continue under the guidance of a new coaching duo, Vassilis Mittas and Panagiotis Dimitriadis. They have also been enriched with some new blood in the shape of Michalis Papadopoulos, Dimitris Lazaridis, Antonio Aretis, Georgios Lelekas, Konstantinos Tolios and Malygin Konstantin.
It’s also worth noting that the current Under-17 side won the championship last season as Under-16s.
