Attention turns to Thursday’s… «final»
PAQOK got what they wanted from the match with Kifissia, and now the team’s focus turns towards Thursday’s (31.08) crucial contest against Hearrts, which will decide which of the two teams qualify for the group stage of the 2023-24 UEFA Europa Conference League.
The preparation for the upcoming match against the Scots started on Monday afternoon (28.08) in Nea Mesimvria.
The players who were in the starting lineup against Kifissia followed a recovery and rehabilitation program on the pitch, the swimming pool and the gym.
The rest of the squad worked with the coach on tactics and played a high-intensity mini-friendly clash.
Thomas Murg has received some treatment and will undergo tests. Ali Samatta continued with an individual program, as did Felipe Soares, while William Troost-Ekong did a light program.
Suahlio Meite had his first training session with his new teammates, while Lambros Smyrlis has also been drafted in to train with the first team.
On Tuesday (29.08) PAOK will train at 18:45 in Nea Mesimvria.
