Time to prepare for the Stoiximan Super League Premiere
PAOK achieved their latest goal again, beating Hajduk Split 3-0 at the Toumba and getting a ticket for the 2023-24 UEFA Europa Conference League Play Offs, where Hearts await them. However, Europe is put to one side for the next two days, as the Stoiximan Super League opener against Asteras Tripoli at the Toumba Stadium is just around the corner.
The day after the big qualification, the PAOK squad were back out on the training pitch to begin their preparations for the opening league match with the Arcadians, in what represents the first challenge of a series of consecutive games.
The players who were in the starting XI against Hajduk followed a recovery and rehabilitation program out on the field, as well as in the gym and the swimming pool. The rest of the players did a high-intensity program, with some work also on tactical aspects as well.
Haris Tsingaras was examined by the club’s medical staff and it was found that he has suffered a strained stomach muscle. The Greek midfielder will be out of Sunday’s game (20.08) and his situation will be reviewed daily. Filipe Soares underwent some physio treatment and will undergo an MRI tomorrow.
On Saturday (19.08) PAOK will train at 18:45 in Nea Mesimvria.
