Intensity in the morning and tactics in the afternoon
Two completely different training sessions defined the work on Friday (07.07) in Techelen. In the morning it was all about intensity and fitness conditioning, while the afternoon was devoted to preparations for the friendly against Go Ahead Eagles.
The first program of the day included a very tough, high-intensity workout. The players started with some warm-ups, running drills, and one-on-one games, before the morning program was wrapped up with a four-team tournament.
In the afternoon the scene changed completely, Razvan Lucescu taking the baton with the training team giving tactical instructions on set pieces and build-up play in view of the friendly against Go Ahead Eagles.
After blocking a powerful shot during the morning training session, Joan Sastre suffered a sprain and also had some discomfort in his midriff area. The Spaniard will be out of training for the next few days and his condition will be reassessed next week.
Andre Ricardo completed both training sessions normally, while Lyratzis and Koulierakis also participated in the afternoon training as normal. Narey stayed in the hotel and will miss the friendly against Go Ahead Eagles, with the German expected to return to training early next week.
Finally, Felipe Soares continued his individual program due to the discomfort he has in his hip.
Tomorrow, Saturday (08.07) PAOK play their second friendly on Dutch soil against Go Ahead Eagles in Zutphen.
