In a match which PAOK B drafted in some new faces due to a raft of absentees, the first half was a tame affair without either side creating any chances of note. It was logical that Macedonikos were the team pressing the most, given that they were in much need of points. Finally, five minutes before the end of the half, the home side managed to take the lead in the 40th minute through Leonidopoulos.

The match followed a similar pattern in the second half, with the heavy pitch due to the incessant rainfall making life difficult for both teams. The majority of play was focused in the midfield areas, but it was Macedonikos who found a route to goal again, with Liomis in the 67th minute to make it 2-0. Nine minutes later teh hosts extended their lead to 3-0 thanks to Zafeirakis. The Double-headed Eagle then hit the woodwork via Rumiantsev, before reducing the deficit to 3-1 courtesy of Darelas in added time.

Macedonikos: Gounaridis, Siatravanis, Saragiotis (80′ Kottaridis), Lisgaras, Ungialidis, Panagiotoudis, Leonidopoulos (80′ Milisavlievics), Tsoukanis, Gentsoglou, Garifallos (70′ Zafeirakis), Liomis (80′ Sarantidis).
