The BOX MVP of the Season – «Platon Foropoulos» Award
A difficult, transitional season has come to an end for PAOK. It was a season in which some new protagonists came to the fore. But, who was the team’s top performer? It’s time to select the BOX MVP of the 2022-23 season, and the player who will win the “Platon Foropoulos” award.
Seven players are in the running for the award. Paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App are opening the polls and asking you to vote for the player who you think should receive the «Platon Foropoulos» award for the 2022-23 season. Who will be the next winner?
In the 2013-14 season it was Lino who won the inaugural prize and proved to everyone that age really is just a number. The second, Ergus Kace, was something of a highlight in an overall bad season for the team. The third winner was Giorgos Tzavellas. Then came Panagiotis Glykos, who was one of the top players and contributed the most to the team returning to trophy success with the Greek Cup in the 2016-17.
Then the The Leader took over. The 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons belonged to Andre Vieirinha, who returned to the club and led it to two years of absolute dominance in Greek football. In the 2019-20 season, Josip Misic had an excellent year and came out on top in the public’s preferences, while in the following season Christos Tzolis played for the first time at a professional level and was the top player of the team according to your opinion. Last season, Jasmin Kurtic came from Italy and left his brakes there, steaming to first place after becoming the team’s top scorer.
