Bad day at the office for PAOK B
PAOK B did not have the best of afternoons on Friday as they were beaten 3-0 by Triglia on Matrchday 27 of the Betson Super League 2 at the Makedonikos Stadium.
It was a match in which the visitors were the more determined side from the start. They had the necessary poession, urgency and dynamism, and created the best chances, with PAOK B mainly trying to hit their opponents on the break. The hosts did come close to scoring the opening goal in the 24th minute, but they were denied by the woodwork, before Ninua’s 40th-minute shot missed the target. In first-half stoppage time, however, the visitors found a way to open the scoring through Aleksic who took advantage of the ball bouncing around the penalty area to make it 1-0.
The pattern of the game did change to some extent after that. The Double-headed Eagle pressed and chased an equaliser, fashinoned a major chance for Chatzistravos, who could not take it. Then it was Triglia who proved more threatening, with PAOK B ‘keeper Balomenos reacting superbly on at least two occasions to deny the visitors a goal. However, in the 76th minute, he was finally beaten for a second time when Aleksic got his second goal of the goal. And then in added time at the end, Tomas scored to put some further loss on the scoreline for Triglia.
