The match was very much played in midfield, featuring a lot of one-to-one duels, and very few chances carved out, especially in the first 45 minutes. The home side had perhaps the best of the opening 20 minutes, but there was no real goal threat. The best chance of the half fell to the hosts on the stroke of half-time, but PAOK B shot-stopper was there to clear the danger.

The game did get somewhat interesting afterwards. Chatzistravos fired in a powerful shot from distance in the 51st minute, with the ball ending up out for a corner, and then Moricelli shortly after that cleared Papadopoulos‘ header off the line. In the 81st minute, the Double-headed Eagle came close to opening the socring with a powerful free-kick by Ninua, which was saved by Dokic in the home goal. The pattern of the game overall did not change and the final whistle left both teams all square as they were at kick-off.

PAOK B’s next game is against Triglia next Friday at the Makedonikos Stadium.
