And now for the final [with pictures]
A measured, efficient and dynamic display saw PAOK Under-15s beat Panathinaikos 2-0 to qualify for the final of the Super League championship against Olympiacos, which will be held on Sunday 14.05 (13:30).
In a balanced first 40 minutes, during which PAOK certainly had their moments and the quality to threaten a goal, the Double-headed Eagle got themselves in front early on. In the 12th minute, Berdos made good progress down the left before releasing Sidiropoulos, who finished clinically to make it 1-0. PAOK then had two more good chances to score another goal, with Karagiozis in the 33rd minute and Toursounidis in the 37th minute, however neither player managed to convert.
The second half did not mark any changes in the pattern of the game. PAOK maintained their dominance, even though Panathinaikos pushed for an equalizer, and the Double-headed Eagle managed to score a second goal in the 67th minute with a shot from distance by Toursounidis. From the 74th minute onwards, PAOK were forced to continue with ten players after a second yellow card was shown to Tasioulas. Panathinaikos came close to scoring in the 76th minute, but the effort hit the crossbar. As for PAOK, who seemed to have already locked up qualification, also had a penalty, which was won and taken by Berdos in the 80th minute. However his spot-kick hit the post and bounced to safety. It was at that point that the game seemed to peter out with PAOK now setting their sights on the final.
