PAOK, despite a umber of absentees and everything they had to face in the away game against Panathinaikos, stood tall and got the point in a draw which could actually have been a win had the visitors showed a bit more composure.

Brandon Thomas was the team’s best player on the night. The Spanish forward came off the bench in the 28th minute after Nelson Oliveira got injured and was in impressive form. He pressed, he ran, he fought countless battles, won second balls, and scored a beautiful goal. He also managed to get Schenkefeld sent off by drawing a foul, and in general he put in a performance full of passion, intensity and of course substance.

And in the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match, it came as no surprise that Brandon collected 65% of the public vote to claim the individual award.

The only competitor to Brandon was Dominic Kotarski, who finished in second place. The Croatian keeper had a great game, making some key saves, keeping his team in the game at crucial moments during the match.
