Under-17s end on winning note
PAOK’s Under-17 side ended their Super League regular season with a 1-0 victory over NFC Volos, ending the campaign with 41 points in total and first place in their group. The team aere not set for the Final Four which will decide the title winners.
Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s team needed just the one goal to see off Volos, in a game that took place at midday on Sunday in Souroti to wrap up the B’ phase of the regular season.
Kesidis sent over a free-kick on 18 minutes and after a nice combination play, Vryzas scored to make it 1-0. PAOK continued to be in control but did not add to their tally. In the 67th minute, the home side hit the crossbar via Papageorgiou’s effort, but that was the closest they came to finding the net again.
