Malezas’ and Chatziathanasiou’s team ended the 2022-23 campaign as runners up, five points behind newly-crowned champions Olympiacos.

There was not much to write home about from the game in Lamia, apart from two good one-on-one chances that involved Gitersos and Politakis, and another coupole of promising opportunities from Smyrlis and Deligiannis. None of those were converted into goals, and the visitors had to settle for a point.
