PAOK hit four in comeback win [with pictures]
PAOK B returned to winning ways with a 4-1 come-from-behind away win over Iraklis Larisa in what was a tense game on Matchday 21 of the Betsson Super League 2 championship. As a result, fifth-placed PAOK B moved onto 35 points.
Zisis Chatzistravos provided the trigger for the comeback, and two goals by Tzimas, who also registered two assists, and a goal from Spirakos followed. Unfortunately, of course, the match did not go smoothly, with plenty of skirmishes, tough-tackling, a red card, and some crowd trouble both inside and outside the stadium depriving the real protagonists of the spotlight.
A sluggish first half for both teams some the game relatively balanced and there were only really two good chances. The first was in the 25th minute, when Panidis’ shot was saved by Farmakis and then again in the 42nd minute, when PAOK B ‘keeper Balomenos said «no» to the home team. However, shortly after, in the 44th minute, Iraklis found a way to open the scoring through Kerry.
The picture was completely different in the second half, with PAOK B determined to recover and Chatzistravos equalizing in the 52nd minute with a side-footed effort from Tzimas’ assist. The rest of the match saw the visitors in irresisble form. In the 67th minute, Tzimas made it 2-1 to the visitors with a great piece of individual work, and in the 77th minute, Spirakos scored PAOK B’s third goal, taking advantage of another Tzimas assist. The latter then completed the scoring in the 87th minute after scoring from Darelas’ pass.
It should be noted that the home team played with ten players from the 71st minute, shortly after a Chatzistravos goal was disallowed for offside.
