PAOK B held to draw by Veria
PAOK B failed to turn their superiority into goals and despite being the better side for long spells, the Double-headed Eagle had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Veria in their previously postponed game from Matchday 16 of the Betsson Super League 2.
PAOK bergan with plenty of urgency and hunger, and in the first 20 minutes they passed up two very good chances via Chatzistravos, and another two more via Kottas. However, a goal was not forthcoming and the teams went into half-time at 0-0.
The scene was similar after the break, with PAOK B dominating, but struggling to find a goal. That was until the 65th minute, when Chatzistravos provided the assist for Bradonijć to score to make it 1-0. Shortly afterwards, however, the referee awarded a penalty to Veria (the offense involved a defender handling the ball) and in the 69th minute, Buoli duly converted the spot-kick to make it 1-1. In the 74th minute, the Double-headed Eagle missed another great opportunity to win the match with Darelas‘ header, and the score remained 1-1 until the final whistle.
The next game for PAOK B is against Diagoras Rhodes at the Makedonikos Stadium next Tuesday 18.04.
