A visit from Socrates
The last training session before the derby with AEK was slightly different and the reason was Socrates. A little hero who taught us all a lot in only a few minutes in his company.
Socrates fought for a long time with the most difficult enemy and defeated him. Tests showed that he had a brain tumor. Two surgeries and many chemotherapy treatments later, combined with his insatiable thirst for life, and boundless courage, all mean that he has been given the all clear.
Socrates is recovering and he wanted so much to come and meet the players from his favorite team. His wish came true and he is now a member of our family!
Our new friend came to the Toumba Stadium, was shown around the ground, met the players, got a shirt with his name on it as a gift, scored many goals and enjoyed himself with all of his heart and soul.
