PAOK B succumb in the 93rd minute [with pictures]
In a demanding match against the league leaders Panserraikos, PAOK B held their own for 93 minutes before fianlly creaking under the pressure of the visitors and slipping to a 1-0 defeat.
It was evident from the beginning that this would be a difficult game for PAOK B. The visitors looked dominant with the Double-headed Eagle trying to balance the match out in the first 45 minutes, but actually being limited to a passive role. However, there were no notable phases in the first half of the game for either team, with the exception of a good set piece by Panserraikos in the 20th minute and a deflected shot in the 45th minute, which was blocked by Balomenos .
It was a similar picture in the second half with Panserraikos pressing even more, but PAOK B however coped exceptionally well in a game with passion and dynamic duels all over the pitch. The scoring chances, of course, were Panserraikos‘ business (they hit the woodwork and a lot of efforts on goal that were saved by an excellent Balomoenos), and finally the pressure brought the goal in stoppage time. In the 93rd minute to be previse, when Pantekidis found a way to give victory to Panserraikos.
The next game for PAOK B is in Athens against Panathinaikos B on February 3.
