Under-17s defeat PAS 2-1
The Under-17s chalked up another victory on Saturday, prevailing 2-1 against PAS Ioannina in a match that took place in Souroti. PAOK remains at the top of their group, while the team has already secured their participation in the Final Four of the championship.
It only took two minutes for PAOK to open the scoring through Kalaitsidis, after Vryza’s assist. Kalaitsidis then netted again to make it 2-0 in the 58th minute, taking advantage of Karaioannou’s assist. The visitors reduced the deficit in the 70th minute to set up a tense finish. But the Double-headed Eagle held firm, and actually had a chance for a third goal in the 90th minute, but Kesidis’ effort came back off the upright.
