With «Kleathis Vikelidis» in mind
2024 started impressively with four goals and a win against OFI, but the competitive action rolls on. The next challenge is the local derby game against Aris at the “Kleanthis Vikelidis”, with the preparations starting in earnest on Friday afternoon in Nea Mesimvria.
The players worked in two groups. Those who were in the starting XI for the match against OFI followed a recovery and rehabilitation program out on the training pitches, in the swimming pool and in the gym. After the warm-up, the rest of the group played some possession games and some high-intensity short-form matches.
Andrija Živkovic and Stefanos Tzimas resumed full training with the main group and are available to Razvan Lucescu ahead of the clash with Aris, while Ali Samatta and William Troost-Ekong were included in the Tanzania and Nigeria squads respectively for the Africa Cup of Nations.
On Saturday (06.01) PAOK will train at 17:45 in Nea Mesimvria.
