It’s time for us to select PAOK’s best goal of 2022! Paokfc.gr, the PAOK FC Official App, and our friends at Regency Casino need your valuable help to find it!
It was a year packed with competitive action, intense moments in Greece and Europe, joys, sorrows, successes, and failures, and of course many goals! The year that was 2022 now belongs to the past, and like every year, now it’s time to highlight the goal of the year.
In 2022, we have picked out the top nine Regency Casino Best Goals via the votes on paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App. But now we have to find the best of hte best!
Our first candidate is Joan Sastre . The Spanish right-back introduced himself to PAOK fans shortly after his transfer to the club with a superb goal in Volos.
The Leader could also not be left out of this discussion. The captain scored a classic Vieirinha goal against FC Midtjylland with a blockbuster of a strike from outside the penalty area, and he is in serious contention for another award.
PAOK’s top scorer in the 2021-22 season, Jasmin Kurtic, is also on the list with his brilliant free-kick against AEK at the OAKA, while Antonio Colak is also included with the beautiful team goal against Olympiacos at the «Georgios Karaiskakis».
The player with the most appearances is Khaled Narey. The German winger began his PAOK career with a bang and won the award three times in August, September and October. First he scored an incredible buzzer beater against Atromitos, a shot from a difficult angle, then he scored at the Gendi Koule against OFI after a magical pass from Vieirinha – showing perfect control and a clinical finish, while he also scored the winning goal in the away derby with Olympiacos, when he took the ball from Lyratzis and with an improbable shot he made it 2-1 to PAOK.
Andrija Zivkovic is next. The Serbian winger defied some laws of physics in the game against NFC Volos at the Toumba, producing a slick pirouette before firing a thunderbolt of a shot into the away team’s goal from outside the penalty area.
The conversation is completed by Nelson Oliveira and his goal against Atromitos, which was also the last goal of the year scored by PAOK. Giannis Konstantelias produced a great piece of play to dance round the home defence, and then teed up Oliveira who had no difficulty in beating Atromitos’ goalkeeper Gianniotis.
