Born in 2006, Tzimas has been at PAOK since he was seven years old. He came to the club from the academy of M. Alexander. He naturally passed through all of the age groups, even competing in older age groups. In the 2021-22 season he was a key member of the Under-17 team that won the championship, albeit a younger player, while he had already made some appearances for the Under-19s as well.

In the current season, he is included in the Under-17, Under-19 and PAOK B squads, the latter of which he has made five appearances and scored three goals. He is also a Greek youth international with 13 appearances and six goals in Greece’s Under-17 team, three appearances and three goals for the Under-16 team, while he has already been called up for training in the Under-19 setup. Stefanos signed a new contract with the club and was invited by the senior team to participate in their training sessions.
