Under-17’s suffer first defeat
It was a “frozen” Sunday morning in Souroti for PAOK’s Under-17 side, who were defeated 3-1 by Panaitolikos in their first game after winning the play-off final.
Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s team experienced their first defeat in the league. After finding themselves behind in the score from the 38th minute, they then conceded two more goals (in the 54th minute and in the 70th minute respectively), and only managed to reduce the deficit in the third minute of added time at the end of the match. PAOK’s goal was scored by Papageorgiou with a side-footed effort, after the Panaitolikos goalkeeper saved a shot by Tsobanis.
The next game for the Under-17’s is away against Aris.
