Important away win for Under-19’s
A two-minute purple patch in the final part of the match was enough for PAOK’s Under-19 side to turn the match against AEK around and leave Athens with an important away win on Matchday 10 of the Super League championship.
PAOK were taken by surprise and found themselves behind and chasing the game after just two minutes. The visitors could not muster a response before half-time, but in the second half things were different.
After the break, the Double-headed Eagle were a different proposition, pushing forward more and threatened the home goal. And soon enough, the goals came with Gitersos on target twice. His first came in the 83rd minute, then just a minute later Chiko provided the assist for Gitersos to score the winner a minute later.
PAOK are now on 21 points after eight games, and they remain at the top of the standings ahead of the next match, a home clash with PAS Giannina.
PAOK lineup: Angelidis, Georgiadis, Deligiannis, Filon, Pasachidis, Tsikos, Kalogiros (92′ Deliopoulos), Goumas (75′ Athanasiou), Adam (75′ Ibrahim), Martos (75′ Sznaucner), Gitersos (90′ Politakis).
