PAOK Under-19s win again to retain top spot
Two goals, plus three points and remaining top of the standings was the order of the day for the Under-19 side, who prevailed 2-0 against Asteras Tripolis in the match that took place on Sunday morning in Souroti on Matchday 9 of the Super League.
PAOK’s task was not an easy one and the truth is that despite being more lively in attack, it was difficult to find a goal. The impetus came after the first goal, of course, which Gitersos scored with a fine individual effort in the 45th minute. That changed the overall picture in the second half.
The Double-headed Eagle became more threatening afterwards, occupying the opposing penalty area, and in the 57th minute found the route to goal for a second strike with Adam teeing up Goumas, who scored to make the final score 2-0.
The next matchday sees Malezas and Chatziathanasiou travel to Athens to face AEK.
PAOK lineup:
Angelidis, Georgiadis (89′ Kastidis), Deligiannis (72 Pasachidis), Sinanai, Filon, Tsikos, Adam (87′ Martos), Kalogiros, Gitersos, Goumas (89′ Deliopoulos), Athanasiou (89′ Politakis).
