Under-19s slip to first defeat
PAOK’s Under-19 side fell to their first defeat of the 2022-23 Super League season on Sunday, going down 2-0 away from home to Olympiacos. However, PAOK remain top of the standings with 15 points.
Apart from the first quarter of the match, during which Olympiacos started strongly, the rest of the match arguably belonged to PAOK. There were frequent… visits to the opponent’s penalty area and two important chances from Goumas and Tzimas, but unfortunately neither player could convert their opportunity into a goal.
The hosts took the lead in the 17th minute with a well-taken penalty, and another goal came in stoppage time to shape the final scoreline.
The match also had aome unpleasant news for the visitors with Babouras seriously injuring his knee.
