Under-17s kick off with comfortable away win
PAOK’s Under-17 side started their league season in deal fashion, picking up three points in a five-goal thriller of a match against Panetolikos in Agrinio.
PAOK started the first phase of the new Super League championship with a win, always having in the back of their mind that in this short series of games, there is not much room for any losses.
Chatsidis opened the scoring for the visitors in the 34th minute, before immediately (in the 36th minute) the home team equalized/ But Chatsidis responded again, scoring with a powerful shot from Kalaitsidis‘ assist to put PAOK ahead 2-1 in the 38th minute.
The match was an enthralling contest with a lot of good passing and quick reactions from both sides. Panetolikos equalized again in the 44th minute, and then, right at the end of the half, Karaioannou committed a foul and Tolios made it 3-2 with a header.
And that’s the way it stayed until the end, with PAOK clinching the three points, with attention now turning to the next match against Aris in Souroti.
