The morning after…
You can’t turn back time. The situation does not change. PAOK is out of Europe and has to deal with it. Right now, and in the best possible way, so that the club can be ready for the start of the domestic championship.
The team needs to adapt to the new order of things, to work on their plan, to reorganize, and to continue on their way, taking what they need from this failed «experiment» with Levski.
The morning after started from Friday (29.07) already. Because, as we stated, there is no time to waste. Every detail is important and PAOK realized this in a bitter way. The squad therefore, did not stop after the elimination. In the afternoon everyone was back at Nea Mesimvria.
The players who were in the starting XI for the match against Levski followed a recovery and rehabilitation program. The rest trained at a high intensity, first with fitness exercises, then with ball circulation and build-up play work, and in the finale there was a mini-friendly played within limited space.
Rafa Soares, who has an injury to his right thigh, will undergo an MRI on Saturday (30.07) to determine the extent of the problem he is facing.
Nelson Oliveira followed part of the training session and then played individually, as part of his gradual reintegration into full training rhythm, while Omar El Kaddouri worked individually out on the practice pitches, with Giannis Michailidis continuing his recovery program.
On Saturday (30.07) PAOK will train at 09:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
