New season kick-off for PAOK B [pictures]
After a long period of much-needed rest, PAOK B took to the training pitches once more. The team’s preparations began on Tuesday, July 26 and will continue at the Souroti training base until August 10, when the squad will then depart for Volakas, Drama, where they will remain until August 21.
Regrouping, therefore, for the club’s second string in anticipation – not long we hope for this season – of the start of the Super League 2 championship, in which PAOK B will participate for the second year.
The technical staff remains the same, while the roster naturally changes and is evolving with the entry of more young players from the PAOK Academy. Obviously, the main core of older and experienced players remains, while some left (Bourganis, Kaloutsikidis, Tachatos, Gaitanidis), and others were promoted to the first team or loaned out (Tzimas). Also, some renewed their contracts with PAOK, while the team is enriched this season with youngsters born in 2003 and 2004, who have trained for several years at PAOK.
The only thing that is certain is that the continuous education at a high level continues, as of course is the «growing up» process of the PAOK Academy kids.
