Be a hero who can save a life…
Life. The most previous thing of all. Something that we all must protect. Both our own and those of others in need. PAOK, through its humantiarian arm PAOK Action and PAOK Wholesales, undertook a solidarity initiative aimed at raising awareness and educating children about First Aid.
In collaboration with the Humanitarian Organization KIDS SAVE LIVES and the IEK Delta 360, PAOK have begun to organize training events, both theoretical and practical. The training sessions are for children and are focused on first aid, so that they have the knowledge and ability to help a fellow human being in times of need, while teh club has also started to install Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) at partner academies.
The theoretical training was implemented through the participation in the iSAVElives FREE Webinar, while events were then held at the facilities of the PAOK Football Academy in Komotini, and at the PAOK academies in Xanthi and Ioannina, while the program also includes a visit to the cooperating PAOK academy in Kilkis.
As part of the initiative, AEDs were installed in the academies, which will be controlled, organized and supported by the KIDS SAVE LIVES National Defibrillator Charter, in order to protect athletes, coaches and parents during training and matches.
Supporting us in this initiative is the IEK DELTA 360 Educational Club which has practically backed another social responsibility action from the club.
Evangelos Chrysochoos spoke to paokfc.gr about this initiative, stating: «I am very happy, because by faithfully following the development plan requested by the President of the club, Mr. Savvidis, we are fulfilling our promises and goals. One of them was the support of the network of our cooperating academies. In particular, in an important area such as is health, we decided, together with our partners, to distribute defibrillators throughout Greece and not only that, but also to train children in First Aid.
In addition, it is important that PAOK, through PAOK Action, helps in these important actions with a positive social impact, and with children as the main protagonists! Our goal is to impart not only the knowledge to them to become those heroes who will save a life, but to realize the value of solidarity and contribution, and base their way of life on such virtues.
PAOK is much more than just 90 minutes of a football match and through PAOK Action, and the valuable help of its partners, the club aims to lay the foundations for a better future for everyone, investing in knowledge, solidarity and contribution.»
